Sunday Style #8 – Rainy Day OOTD

What a nasty, rainy day it is today!
With it being the first day of March, I was ready to dress for Spring and was eyeing up pastel outfits in my wardrobe… and then I looked outside.
Rain, rain, rain.

So instead of breaking out the spring florals, I decided to go for more of a salute to winter as we wave it goodbye.

For my make-up I went for the classic Rimmel Kate Moss 107 lipstick.
It is such a gorgeous shade of plum-purple. It is a very dark, bold lip, and I must admit I don’t always have the confidence to wear it, but today I am loving the look!
Sometimes I like to take a make-up brush and brush it on to my lips to make the shade a bit lighter so it’s not so striking, but today I went all out.

For my outfit I went for this navy and white striped top from H&M. I love the slouchy and baggy style of it, very comfy but still stylish!

I also wore my grey, Topshop Leigh jeans and my beloved Doc Martins which you will all know by now as they featured in my February Favourites – I just can’t stop raving about them!

It stopped raining briefly with just enough time for a little OOTD shoot outside, but soon started up again, so I retreated inside and settled for some comfier footwear!

These adorable slippers are from Dorothy Perkins and were bought as a gift for me by my boyfriend last Christmas.
They are so comfy and to be honest I just can’t get over how cute they are!

So that is my rainy day OOTD for this dreary Sunday!
I hope you like this post, let me know in the comments if you do! x
