HAUL – Boots / The Body Shop

2015/01/img_0763.jpg

So I went into town yesterday in search of some essentials – face wipes and deodorant, and I may have got a little bit distracted and picked up a few more bits as well.
I say a few…

The first place I went was Boots to buy the aforementioned essentials.
I always go for the Simple face wipes because I have quite sensitive skin and they’re just a brand I’ve always used!
Deodorant-wise I usually get the Nivea ‘Invisible’. I think it might be my favourite one because it not only smells good but it really lives up to it’s name and doesn’t leave any nasty deodorant marks on your clothes!

I then remembered that I was running a bit low on concealer (panic!) so I wandered over to the makeup section – big mistake!
Unfortunately the Boots store I was in didn’t have my shade in the Collection Lasting Perfection OR the Maybelline Eraser Eye; my two go-to concealers!
In fact the entire store was severely lacking in all of the lighter skin tone shades and in desperate need of a restock. I even had a cheeky look in the drawers underneath where they keep the untouched stock (little Boots hint for you there!) but there was none to be found!
I then had a bit of a mission on my hands – finding an alternative concealer!IMG_0772
After trawling the shelves the only one I was able to find with my preferred applicator, shade and price bracket was the Revlon ColourStay Concealer. I’ve never heard anything about this product so fingers crossed it turns out ok!

Whilst searching for concealer I picked up the Loreal ‘True Match’ Foundation.

I have heard only good things about this foundation and fancied giving it a try. I’m the sort of person that likes to change their foundation after a while, just because there are so many different products out there, I don’t like to feel like I might be missing out on something!
For a while now I’ve been loving the Rimmel ‘Wake Me Up’ Foundation, which I would highly recommended if you favour a more dewy look – I just felt like it was time to try something new!

The next thing I picked up was the Soap & Glory ‘Lid Stuff’ eyeshadow palette.

I saw Zoella recommend this in a video so I thought I would give it a try!
(I’d just like to add that it was the last one – what were you even doing, Boots?)
It’s a really nice neutral quad with the shades ‘Vanilla‘, ‘MudHoney‘, ‘Pink T‘ and ‘Aubersheen‘ – 3 matte and 1 shimmery which is perfect if you’re not very confident with your eyeshadow like I am!

The last thing I got from Boots is a Real Techniques Powder Brush. real tech brush
I’ve been needing a new one so I picked this one up as soon as I saw it!

I’m not really sure how I managed to buy so much from such a poorly stocked Boots, but there you go!

I then happened to walk past The Body Shop and I just had to have a look, I love how natural all of their products are!

I’d seen that Estée from Essie Button had recommended the Aloe Lip Care in her Best Beauty Products of 2014 video so I went in with the intention of finding it as my lips are awful for being dry and cracked!

I’ve used this a few times since buying it and I can honestly say I already notice a difference.

The next thing I got was the Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream. IMG_0768
I’ve been looking for a good night cream and the friend I was with recommended this one, so I went for it. I know this isn’t anything to go by but it does smell like it’s going to be good!

As it was 3 for 2 in The Body Shop on all makeup and skincare products I had no choice but to pick up a third item!
I went for an All-in-One Cheek Colour in the shade ‘Marshmallow‘.

I’m a big fan of a pinky blush and this one is such a gorgeous medium, cherry blossom pink that I just couldn’t resist!

So that was my accidental beauty/skincare haul!
I hope you liked it, be sure to click like if you did and hit follow if you’d like to see more things like this! x
