Today I thought I would share with you what I think might be my favourite type of accessory – the scarf!
I am one of those people that has a scarf for nearly every outfit and occasion; I always seem to be buying them! I sometimes plan outfits around my scarf, nothing wrong with that right?
Plus, at this time of year when it’s cold and miserable outside (and it is a particularly bitter January we are having) you want your neck all cosy, am I right?
Now going through every single scarf that I own would get incredibly dull and we’d be here until next Sunday, so I’m going to show you my scarf wardrobe staples.
Asos Tartan Wool Scarf
This was a Christmas present from a friend and I love it. It’s so warm and cosy and a really soft fabric, although has a tendency to leave fluffy scarf remnants everywhere – the only downside!
Miss Selfridge Patterned Scarf
This one is a thinner, polyester fabric but there’s a lot of it so it can still wrap you up warm! The colours are gorgeous, so complimentary to each other and to my skin tone I think (I’m a big fan of purple). This is a statement scarf that I like to wear with quite basic outfits to make it pop.
Marks and Spencer’s Tartan Scarf
Another gift! I think everyone must understand my scarf obsession – especially when there’s tartan involved (and it’s purple). I love that this one is a lighter colour shade so it can be worn into spring as well.
I’m not sure where this scarf is from as it was given to me, but it looks like something you’d pick up at Accessorize with these stunning pastel shades. The light fabric combined with the cheerful pattern and pastel pops make it a favourite of mine for Spring/Summer.
H&M Tartan Scarf
Not more tartan, surely? Yep, this is my favourite, go-to tartan scarf. The colours are perfect and I find myself wearing this scarf the most out of all of them – not bad for £7.99! The fabric is starting to go a bit bobbly as it’s now 3 years old but I just can’t bear to part with it!
This scarf actually belonged to my Nan. I love the simplicity of the design, and although it supplies virtually no warmth, I still love to throw it on in the summer. Not to mention the fact that is goes with almost anything!
H&M Patterned Scarf
This last one is another great one for warmer weather, although it normally makes an appearance later in the year too because of it’s Autumnal colouring. I’m not normally a fan of brown, but it looks great on this scarf with the pop of blue.
So those are my 7 scarf staples for this Style Sunday.
I’m sure it won’t be long before I add another one to my collection. I’m on the lookout for a more neutral piece – I always feel like I lack a black/grey/white scarf.
I currently have my eye on this beauty from Asos:
A girl can dream!
I hope you like this weeks post, check back next week for another Style Sunday.
