AWIO #7 – Monochrome Sunday

We’ve made it! It’s A Week In Outfits Day #7!
I can’t believe how fast this week has gone, I’ve loved doing these daily outfit posts and I’m a little bit sad that today is the last one.

Today I went for a bit of monochrome, because it’s always a winner with me.
My white, ribbed jumper is from New Look.
This is one of my favourite jumpers, I just love how it hangs and white looks good on everyone and with anything.

I’m also wearing black ‘treggings’ from Zara.
These are such a great fit, my only problem with them is that they started off black, but they’re fading in patches to blue the more I wash them…
Aside from that, I love the style and the cute zip at the ankle.

My shoes are from Matalan.
I’m always amazed by what nice shoes they have in there, I think these were about £6, which is a bargain for decent black ballet flats.
I love the tiny silver studs on these.

Accessories-wise, I’ve gone for this envelope clutch from Primark.
I’m using this nearly everyday recently just because it’s the perfect size to fit all the essentials in. I love the two grey shades together and the silver hardware detail.
It also has a silver chain which means you can wear it on your shoulder.

I’m also wearing my Olivia Burton watch, my eternity ring and this cute pink ring from East.

I’m wearing Rimmel Kate Moss 107 on my lips.
I love the plum purple shade, it’s a bit daring but I wanted the pop of colour with this monochrome outfit and I think it really works.
On my eyes is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo eyeshadow in ‘On and On Bronze’.

I hope you like AWIO #7!
That’s it for my Week In Outfits!

AWIO #6 – All About Those Shoes, ‘Bout Those Shoes…

Welcome to A Week In Outfits Day #6!
For my penultimate day I’m wearing some of my all time favourite pieces.

My grey top is from New Look.
It’s a thin, wool material on top with a ‘v’ cut in the back so you can see the layer of black, sheer fabric underneath.

I love the style of this top I think it’s so nice for a casual look with jeans or can be dressed up with leggings and heels or a skirt.
I do sometimes wear a black cami underneath though as the fabric is very thin and it can get quite chilly!

I’m wearing my beloved Wildfox jeans.
They are the mid rise skinny ‘Marianne’ jeans.
So comfy and such a nice colour of denim, I love light blue denim for Spring.

Now I don’t know about you, but the part of the outfit I’m most excited by is the shoes…

These glorious things are from Boohoo.
They are snake print, slip-on plimsolls with a silver toe cap.

So today was their first outing and I have to admit, when I put them on I did hesitate and question whether I was brave enough.
They are a statement piece, but I got so many compliments on them whilst I was out and about!
My only issue with them is that they do make my feet look like they’re really big. I can assure you that it’s just an optical illusion, I think my feet actually finish just as the silver toe cap begins.

For my make-up I went for natural, with a nude lip in Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker matte lipstick in ‘Super Nude’.
I then added Maybelline 24Hr Colour Tattoo in ‘Pink Gold’ to my eyes.
My gold and silver arrow necklaces are from Topshop.

I hope you like AWIO #6!

AWIO #5 – High Heels and Drawstring Waists

It’s Friday, which means it’s A Week In Outfits Day #5!
This outfit was mostly inspired by my need to wear these trousers again, and these shiny shoes catching my eye.

I got these brown and green patterned trousers from Zara a few years ago.
I think they’re a really unique piece, I love the drawstring waist as it cinches you in in just the right place and the thin fabric makes them a Spring/Summer wardrobe staple.

I’m wearing a basic black t-shirt and my favourite faux-leather Topshop jacket with silver studs.
The necklace I’m wearing belonged to my Nan, I wanted to tie it in with the silver detailing theme.
I also decided to go for natural make-up.

My silver court heels are from Dorothy Perkins.
These do pinch my feet a bit so I don’t wear them for prolonged periods of time, but I think they really set off this look for a sophisticated evening out.
I like that it’s a mottled silver, so that they look bright white in some lights.

So I hope you liked AWIO #5!

AWIO #4 – Casual Thursday

Welcome to a very casual A Week In Outfits Day #4.
So, as I didn’t really get up to much today, I went for a casual outfit that was comfortable, but with a pop of pastel. Let’s face it, sometimes you do just want to throw on jeans and a t-shirt!

I went for this white, v-neck t-shirt from New Look.
I love the baggy style of this tee and the way it hangs.
I’m also wearing my super-soft, skinny H&M jeans, I’ve raved about these a lot, they are just really great quality jeans for not very much money.

Now some of you will know that I’m a bit of a scarf lover.
If you didn’t I’d recommend checking out this post.
This scarf was actually a gift so I’m not exactly sure where it’s from, but I’ve got a feeling it might be Accessorize. I’m a big fan of pastels at the moment, they’re perfect for this time of year.
The colours in this are gorgeous, I think it makes more out of a basic outfit.

Last but not least, let’s talk about those shoes…

I can’t get enough of these pastel pink ankle boots from Missguided.
I think these are super cute, perfect for Spring time and I think they go so well with this simple outfit. I’m also always a bit surprised by how comfortable they are to wear, and I’m not that good in heels!

I hope you liked AWIO #4!

AWIO #3 – This Is A Shark Attack

Today is A Week In Outfits day #3 – This Is A Shark Attack!
(which is a great song by Skrillex if you didn’t know)
I had my hair done today as some of you may be able to tell. I had it cut and coloured to get rid of my awful roots. I’m really happy with the mahogany colour that’s come out!
To go with my darker hair I decided to go all out and opt for this imposing shark tee.
I got this from River Island in the sale last year.
It’s a silky material on the front and plain black tshirt material on the back – I love it!

I’ve paired it with black leggings from Monsoon and my black chelsea boots from Boohoo.
I’m also wearing my gold necklace from Topshop and my Olivia Burton watch.

I’m wearing Kate Moss 107 on my lips for a bold colour pop. For my eyes I went for the much-talked-about Maybelline 24Hour Colour Tattoo gel eyeshadow in ‘On and On Bronze’.

I hope you like AWIO #3!

AWIO #2 – Lunch Date

Welcome to A Week In Outfits #2!
I went for more of a smart-casual look today as we went out on a little lunch date. We didn’t end up doing anything for Valentine’s in the end, so we thought we’d make up for it by going for a belated meal together today.

It was such a beautiful day today!
The sun was shining and it was nowhere near as cold as it has been, dare I say that Spring has finally arrived?
It seemed like a good excuse to wear my naughtiest purchase of the month – my Wildfox jeans.
They are the skinny, mid-rise ‘Marianne’ jeans.

So these were £75 from Asos, which I’m aware is a ridiculous amount to spend on a pair of jeans, but I’m definitely one of those people that doesn’t mind paying a little bit more for quality.
My name is also Marianne, so, it’s meant to be right?
They fit perfectly, I think they’re the best fitting pair of jeans I’ve ever owned, they are so comfy!
I also love the colour, light-coloured denim is ideal for this time of year.

This gorgeous floral top is from H&M.
It’s a thin, silky material which is really lovely, I think it’s quite a versatile top that could be worn casual or a bit more dressed up.
My clutch bag is from Primark, and I’m also wearing my Olivia Burton watch.

And of course, the shoes.
I got these chunky, cut-out heels from River Island last year.
I love them so much, they are probably my favourite heels that I own, but I hardly wear them as they are not only impossible to drive in but the cut-outs mean they are only pleasant to wear when it’s not raining; i.e. hardly ever here in the UK!

For my make-up, I don’t think I need to tell you that my lipstick is the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker matte lipstick in ‘Super Nude’… I wear this lipstick all the time because it’s just such a nice shade of nude lip, as well as making my lips feel good.

On my eyes is the Maybelline 24Hour Colour Tattoo gel eyeshadow in ‘Pink Gold’.
This shade is stunning, a dusky pink with a nice shimmer. It’s so easy to apply, the staying power is great and it also doesn’t crease – these eyeshadows really do live up to the hype.

So I hope you like my AWIO #2!
